Indian Academy Pre-University College conducted its II PUC Orientation Day on 23 May 2026, marking the beginning of a crucial academic year for II PUC students. The programme aimed to motivate students, recognize academic excellence, and prepare them for future success.
The event began with the ceremonial lamp lighting, invocation, and a welcome address by Mr. K. alyanasundaram, Senior Lecturer, Department of English. A special presentation, A Showcase of Academic Excellence, highlighted student achievements and inspired learners to strive for higher goals.
A key highlight of the programme was the Merit Scholarship Presentation, where 50 students were honoured for their consistent academic excellence from SSLC through I PUC. The scholarships were presented by Dr. B. S. Dwarakanath, eminent scientist, researcher, and mentor.
In his keynote address, Dr. Dwarakanath encouraged students to develop focus, determination, and a positive attitude towards learning. He also appreciated the institution’s outstanding results and acknowledged the dedication of both students and faculty.
The interactive session, Beyond the Blackboard, provided students with an opportunity to engage with faculty members on topics such as effective study habits, overcoming challenges, maintaining focus, and achieving holistic growth. The lively discussion offered valuable guidance and motivation as students embark on their II PUC journey.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Priya F., Senior Lecturer, Department of Commerce, followed by the National Anthem, leaving students inspired to pursue excellence with confidence and commitment.
